On December 22, at about 9.10 am on the Square of the Defenders of Ukraine in Kharkov, tram No. 5 derailed, demolished the metal fence and crashed into the tree.
As a result of the accident, three passengers – women born in 1978 and 1956 – were injured, all injured were hospitalized, according to the local police.
According to Kharkiv media, two middle-aged women have bruises, and a pensioner has broken edges.
– The cause of the crash is being established. About the victims: three women were taken to the emergency room. Two of them (43 years old) – bruises, they received help, went to be treated on an outpatient basis. One woman (64 years old) was hospitalized for polytrauma with fractured ribs, – said Olga Khmel, press secretary of the Kharkiv City Council.
