In Japan, they came up with headphones that determine the level of alcohol in the blood
Tokyo Medical University has created unusual headphones. The device is capable of measuring blood alcohol levels. Information about the invention is published in Scientific Reports .
The device collects data from ethanol vapor emitted from the skin of the ears. Measurements take place in real time. If blood alcohol is found, the indicator light comes on. Brightness indicates the degree of concentration of alcohol.
The engineers who came up with the device believe that these headphones can be used for many different purposes. For example, to measure not only the level of alcohol in the body, but also other gases – this can help in the diagnosis of diseases. The developers plan to continue researching their invention.
Earlier, a biodegradable battery was introduced in Switzerland. The development is based on cellulose, gelatin and soot and other environmentally friendly substances.
