Employees of the Higher Institute of Health of Italy in the framework of the conducted research revealed that unvaccinated from COVID-19 die 25 times more often than those who received an additional dose of the drug. Other serious risks are reported on the ISS website.

Those who refuse vaccination are 10 times more likely to be hospitalized and 27 times more likely to be in the intensive care unit than those who were injected with a booster, scientists warned.

ISS representatives assessed the effectiveness of vaccines against severe COVID-19 at about 90 percent within 120 days after the first vaccination and 95 percent after receiving the booster.

Earlier, the Italian government imposed a fine for refusing vaccination for people aged 50 and older.

A fine of 100 euros will have to be paid by those who do not have a vaccination certificate or a medical withdrawal with the reasons for the lack of vaccination. In addition, from February 15, all Italians over the age of 50 will have to provide a certificate of full vaccination or a certificate of the presence of antibodies to coronavirus in order to get to work, otherwise they will lose their salaries.
