According to media reports, the event took place on Saturday, September 5. There, a 45-year-old Albanian had a conflict with the son of his common-law wife, a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman.
During the quarrel, the mother's common-law wife wiped out the 18-year-old boy. The Ukrainian was hospitalized with a serious injury in a Milan hospital.
“A cartridge case, a pistol used by the 45-year-old man who was reportedly kidnapped in 2013 in Sassuolo, and 40 bullets of the same caliber were found in the house where the dispute ended in gunfire,” Italian media write.
The ilgiorno.it publication claims that the guy was defending his mother from her stepfather, who allegedly regularly beat the Ukrainian. However, the suspect has a different version of events, saying that the boy also hit him.
“The 46-year-old man, a truck driver originally from Albania, was questioned by another prosecutor, Paolo Storari, and admitted that he was wrong and explained his reaction: according to him, the 18-year-old boy beat him after he had an argument with his common-law wife, the boy's mother, and slapped her. According to the 45-year-old man, this act was dictated by a difficult family situation,” the publication writes.
Another Italian media outlet, ilmattino.it, reports that the Ukrainian and Albanian live together with a 6-year-old girl and two boys aged 15 and 18. When the stepfather beat the woman again, the children got scared and the 15-year-old boy tried to protect his mother, but when he failed, he called his brother and he came running. Then a conflict occurred between him and the man, which ended in shooting.
The boy is in serious condition, but his life is not in danger.
