An unusual incident made the residents of the Israeli city of Beer Sheva happy: the wind blew hundreds of large bills down the street.
Prior to the arrival of the police, citizens were enthusiastic about collecting unexpected gifts.
The law enforcement officers did not manage to find out the true cause of the incident – someone said that money flew out of the window of a car that drove along the street at high speed, someone spoke about an elderly man, from whose pocket a pack of bills fell out.
One way or another, but the police started collecting money and with the help of passers-by, within an hour, collected about 100 thousand shekels (about 2.3 million rubles).
However, citizens began to show conscientiousness only after the arrival of the guards – before that they were happy to shove bills into their pockets.
Eyewitnesses said that from nearby houses “women jumped out right in their pajamas” and enthusiastically caught the money carried by the wind.
Later, the police received a statement from one of the residents of the city – he claims that the money fell out of the window of his car. The victim named the amount of 150 thousand shekels, from which the law enforcement officers concluded that 50 thousand shekels were collected and appropriated by the residents of the city.
