In Greece, a monk poured acid on seven metropolitans
The hieromonk of the Diocese of Veria poured acid on seven metropolitans in the Greek monastery of Petraki, the Athens Macedonian news agency reports.
It is reported that the attack was carried out after the decision to remove him from service, adopted by the Synodal Court, in which the victims took part. Two clergymen of the synodal courts were also injured in the attack.
It is noted that two metropolitans were taken to the burn department of the Hospital of Trauma, and five more people with lighter burns are being treated at the hospital “Laiko Nosokomio”.
Earlier it was reported that the police are looking for an attacker who splashed acid in the face of a woman in the parking lot of one of the hypermarkets in Pushkino near Moscow.
The Stavropol court sentenced local resident Shamil Chaparov to five years in prison for dousing three girls with acid in 2017.
