The network has information about the plans of the British startup Hybrid Air Vehicles. The company wants to replace passenger planes with airships with a capacity of 100 people. They can be used at least for short-distance flights.
It is reported that Hybrid Air Vehicles has set itself such an unusual goal to reduce its carbon footprint. According to The Guardian, representatives of the startup are confident that the airship is ideal for flights from city to city within one country.
Also, this type of transport may be appropriate when moving between neighboring countries.
The speed of flights will not suffer too much. So, if by plane the journey from Liverpool to Belfast through the Irish Sea takes about 4.5 hours (taking into account the check-in time), then in the case of an airship, the same distance will be covered in 5 hours and 20 minutes.
