Two pilots died as a result of a collision of two planes on the outskirts of the German city of Gera.
The planes crashed after a collision over an open area.
This was reported by MDR.
According to a fire official, two pilots were killed while performing acrobatic maneuvers on planes. They collided in the air near the Leumnitz airfield. There were no other dead or injured. The area around the crash site near the airfield was surrounded.
Aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight of 5.7 tons are allowed to take off and land at the Gera-Leumnitz airfield.
