German law enforcement officers searched four people who may have had links with the perpetrator of the Vienna attacks. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Office for Criminal Cases of Germany (BKA) on Twitter.
“Searches took place in residential and office premises in three federal states – Hesse, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein,” the statement said.
The department emphasized that the persons who were searched are not suspects of a crime.
Earlier, the head of the Austrian Ministry of Internal Affairs Karl Nehammer said that eight detainees on suspicion of involvement in the Vienna terrorist attack were previously convicted.
