The situation with the poisoning of Russian citizen Alexei Navalny could be beneficial to lobbyists from the United States who want to sell American liquefied gas to Germany. This opinion was voiced by a member of the Berlin Chamber of Deputies Gunnar Lindemann on his Facebook page.
He calls the incident a drama in three steps: presumably, the poisoned Navalny is transported to Berlin, despite the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, then the German authorities refuse to cooperate with Russia to investigate the incident, as a result, the Russian government is accused and demands are made to suspend the construction of the Northern stream-2 “.
“Question: how stupid do Spiegel journalists really think the Kremlin is? All of this smells like a staging of transatlantic lobbyists and US lobbyists. Only they would benefit from it. They want to sell gas from the US to Germany, which is 30 percent more expensive, and prevent Russian gas supplies, which have been reliable for decades, ”concludes Lindemann, who suspected the American side of the situation.
He also claims that Navalny's training was funded by non-profit organizations (NPOs) close to former US presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. After that, Lindemann writes, the oppositionist was an active supporter of Russian right-wing extremists, then discovered himself as a blogger associated with the NGO of billionaire George Soros. “So he is a completely insignificant person in Russia and for Russia,” said a member of the Berlin Chamber of Deputies, who insists that only the suppliers of liquefied gas from the United States were interested in poisoning Navalny.
Navalny became ill on August 20 during a flight from Tomsk to Moscow. In the first two days, doctors from the Omsk hospital helped him. They also introduced him to an artificial coma. On August 22, the patient was sent to a clinic in Berlin. German toxicologists have identified traces of a substance from the Novichok group in Navalny's body.
In September, Navalny was discharged from the hospital. He told that he plans to return to Russia.
