Germany scrambled its fighters into the atmosphere to intercept a Russian Il-20 military aircraft spotted in the skies over the Baltic Sea.

The message indicates that the Il-20 (COOT-A) was detected in international airspace over the Baltic Sea. After this, fighter jets took off from Laage airbase to intercept.
“Our German Eurofighters took off from Laage for Alpha Scramble today at about 12:45,” reads the Luftwaffe publication.
Also, the German air force stated that the Il-20 was identified as violating airspace over the Baltic Sea, its movement was accompanied by German Eurofighters.
Recall that it was previously reported that Germany and France scrambled fighter jets because of a Russian plane.
