In Germany, a former prosecutor was found guilty of sexually assaulting his child. The accused stated that he was a sleepwalker and that the crime occurred in his sleep.

Philip M., a former prosecutor who previously took early retirement, was sentenced to a suspended sentence of one year and six months – four months are already considered served. According to the indictment, M. committed sexual acts against his eight-year-old son at the end of March 2019. This happened at night, and by morning, when his wife confronted him, the accused had no memory of the incident. His wife filed for divorce.
