In Germany, a painting worth 330 thousand dollars was found in a trash can

German police found a painting worth more than $ 330,000 in a garbage can at Dusseldorf airport, according to the agency's Facebook page.

It is noted that it belongs to a businessman who forgot it at the airport check-in counter. This happened on November 27. The canvas was packed in a cardboard box.

The man who flew to Israel remembered the painting only when boarding the flight. Later, he contacted the management of the airport, and after an unsuccessful search for the canvas, he asked his nephew to write a statement to the police.

Law enforcement officers returned the painting to the owner. Its author is the French and American surrealist painter Yves Tanguy (1900-1955).

Earlier it was reported that a warehouse with works of famous artists was found in a hospital located in the American city of Southampton.

It was noted that medical staff were looking for a place to store ventilators. It turned out that lithographs, drawings and wooden sculptures by Willem de Kooning, Alexander Calder, Robert Dash and other artists were kept in the pantry.
