An unknown person opened fire from the window of a residential building and wounded a random passerby, who turned out to be Ukrainian.
In the German city of Chemnitz (federal state of Saxony), a passerby was shot when he was shot directly from the window of a residential building on the evening of Friday, July 4. The victim was a 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen.

The suspect was a 40-year-old German citizen. Police noted that he did not resist law enforcement officers during his arrest.
During a search of his apartment, police officers found a pneumatic pistol that fired steel balls. According to investigators, this was the weapon used to shoot out of the window.
