In addition, journalists found out that Dornau secretly held meetings with supporters of the Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko, and he did not report his business in Belarus.

The Presidium of the Saxony Parliament ruled that the politician had violated the duty to disclose information in accordance with the law and imposed a fine of 20,862 euros.

“No one can just go to dictatorial Belarus and start a farm there, especially no one from Germany,” said the head of the Left Party faction in Saxony, Rico Gebhardt.
