According to the French Interior Ministry, hooligans set fire to 874 cars on New Year's Eve. Therefore, the police have already detained 441 people, of whom 381 were arrested.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen said that hooligans often set fire to other people's cars in the country on New Year's Eve. He added that 1,316 cars were burned on New Year's 2019 in 2019. Then 376 people were detained.
