When the alligator rose from the bottom of the lake, its size amazed everyone around.
In Florida, a hunter caught an 80-year-old alligator weighing more than 400 kilograms and about four meters long on a lake. Locals suspected that the crocodile was feeding on private cattle.
This is reported by the Daily Mail.
Experienced hunter Doug Borris has previously managed to set nine world records in fishing and hunting. This time he has set himself a new goal — an impressive alligator, many times larger than himself.
He started hunting the alligator after a friend told him about a creature that allegedly grew up next to him since childhood. Local residents complained that their livestock was missing, which probably became food for the crocodile.
Borris found the alligator while it was on a lake in Okeechobee County. The hunter moved away from him for almost 500 meters, took aim with his 7-mm rifle, and fired a shot. The bullet hit the head.
When the alligator was lifted from the bottom of the lake, its size amazed everyone around.
“I had no idea how big his body was until we pulled him completely out of the lake. The crocodile was suspected of having eaten some of the local cattle around the lake, and this was considered a threat”” the Daily Mail quoted the hunter as saying.
