Due to the tropical heat, almost the entire territory of Croatia has been declared orange as the penultimate level of weather hazard. This is stated in the message of the State Hydrometeorological Institute of the country.
According to the institute, the orange level of weather hazard is mainly declared in the regions of Dubrovnik, Gospic, Osijek, Rijeka and Knin, where the maximum temperature indicators were approximately 35-36 degrees Celsius.
It is clarified that in the Split region in the southern part of Croatia, temperatures rise to 35 degrees Celsius, and thunderstorms, showers and hurricane winds are likely, which necessitated declaring the red (last) level of weather hazard.
The institute urged Croatians to be careful and avoid exposure to the sun during the daytime. In addition, citizens are asked to follow the recommendations of doctors about the need to wear light, light-colored clothing, as well as refuse heavy food and consume more fluids.
We will remind, earlier residents of a number of regions of Russia were warned about dangerous weather.
