In China, they invented pasta that takes shape when cooked
The Chinese University of Zhejiang invented pasta that only takes shape during cooking. The invention is based on special grooves, according to Science Advances.
For experiments, scientists have developed a dough made from semolina flour. The samples were several centimeters in size and several millimeters thick. On them, both automatically and manually, grooves were applied that allow the pasta to take the desired shape. The product takes the form of tubes, spirals and other complex shapes.
Experts point out that flat pasta has a number of advantages: economical packaging and less costly transportation. Due to the lack of air, the size of the package can be reduced by 60%.
Earlier in Russia, they came up with high-quality and cheap gasoline from gas production waste. The new technology will be able to enable oil and gas companies to switch to self-sufficiency in fuel.
