An accident in Cherkassy with an ambulance heading for a call occurred at noon at the intersection of Smelyanskaya and Nadpolnaya streets. Land Rover SUV crashed into the car.
This was reported on the social network by the speaker of the Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine of the Cherkasy Regional Council, Irina Nazarok.
According to her, the resuscitation team of doctors was in a hurry to call the city center to a man who lost consciousness on the street.
– The emergency car, overcoming traffic jams, moved with a sound signal and flashing beacons. Passing the intersection, the driver of the special car paused to make sure that the crossing of the streets was safe (this is confirmed by the video from the recorder). The drivers of other vehicles stopped to let the ambulance pass, but the Land Rover driver did not, she said.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident, both vehicles were mechanically damaged.
