Four people were injured in Winnipeg due to a car collision during a protest

In the Canadian city of Winnipeg, four people were injured as a result of a car hitting protesters against coronavirus restrictions. This is reported by the CTV channel.
The incident occurred on the evening of Friday, February 4. According to eyewitnesses, the jeep Patriot drove into the crowd, knocked down four people, and then fled the scene at high speed.
The police detained the driver of the SUV. It turned out to be a 42-year-old man, whose name was not disclosed. According to the TV channel, his act may not be related to the ongoing protests in the country. Several charges have been brought against the man, including assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.
It is specified that medical assistance was provided to three victims on the spot. One victim was hospitalized.
Earlier in the USA, a car hit a reporter of the WSAZ TV channel Tori Yorgey (Tori Yorgey) live. A video of the incident was posted online. In the video, you can see that the car ran over the woman right during the report, she fell from the impact. However, a few seconds after the accident, the journalist got to her feet and continued to broadcast.
