Unknown pranksters throughout March were spreading information on social networks about the upcoming music festival, which was to take place in the favorite vacation spot of Brussels residents – the Bois de la Cambre park. The date for the grand concert was April 1.
According to the announcements, many famous DJs have agreed to take part in the festival. In addition, among those who supposedly had to entertain the people, there were names similar to the names of famous politicians, The Guardian reports.
Despite the fact that the authors of the fake admitted to the drawing at the end of March, on April 1, several thousand people flocked to the park, eager for entertainment.
Realizing that there would be no concert, the youth tried to amuse themselves on their own – music sounded, dances began.
Soon the police pulled up and reminded the citizens that due to the epidemiological situation, mass events were banned. In response, plastic bottles and firecrackers flew at the law enforcement officers. The police were reinforced with a cavalry detachment, and a water cannon was used against violators of public order. In general, the drawing was a success, but instead of a music festival, it turned out to be a wet party with horses.
