The attack resulted in clashes with police and several officers were injured

In Britain, a group of masked protesters attempted set fire to the hotel where the asylum seekers were staying. This comes amid renewed violence in the country due to protests against immigration.

The Guardian writes about this.

About 700 people gathered outside the Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham and clashed with police. They threw firearms, bottles and chairs, and also sawed off fire extinguishers towards law enforcement officers. South Yorkshire Police said at least 10 officers were injured, including one who was knocked unconscious due to a head injury.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper condemned the rioters, calling their actions a “criminal and brutal attack” on a hotel where asylum seekers were staying, and said that deliberately setting fire to a building with people inside was unacceptable.

Recall that demonstrations continue in Britain due to an attack in Southport, where a 17-year-old boy attacked a studio for children that held dance and yoga classes with a knife. As a result of the attack, three children were killed and 13 more people were injured. The attacker's motives are unknown. Information is being spread on social networks about the possible migration origin of the attacker.
