Regional authorities announced the shooting down of eight air targets on approach to Belgorod, but there was damage.
In Belgorod they announced shelling March 14 and interception of air targets. There are “arrivals” of passenger cars and residential buildings are damaged.
Russian telegram channels and the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov report this.
The public reports that one of the shells “hit” the car. This moment and the car engulfed in fire were captured on video. Local residents report explosions and smoke in the sky. Telegram channels publish photos with metal debris that residents found.
As Gladkov reported, an air defense system was activated over Belgorod and the region – eight aircraft were shot down targets on approach to the city. Operational services are clarifying information about the consequences on the ground.
“According to preliminary data, as a result of the arrival in a passenger car the driver died. Also, the ambulance line received a call about 2 injured women and one man . Ambulance teams have left for the scene,” the governor wrote on the Internet.
He added that in Belgorod there is damage in two private households and on the territory of one of the healthcare institutions. The roof there was broken and the fifth and sixth floors of the building were damaged. One passenger car was also damaged.
