According to media reports, the day before in the village of Mayskiy in the Belgorod region, a 54-year-old Russian serviceman in a Moskvich drove at high speed through a red light and hit two girls, aged 17 and 16.

They were just crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. As a result of the accident, the 16-year-old girl received injuries incompatible with life and died on the spot. The car dragged her body for several dozen meters.
Another girl was hospitalized with injuries. According to preliminary information, the driver was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
