A 20-year-old conscript from Lower Austria threatened his comrades during a change of guard and physically attacked his commander, the head of the guard, a 54-year-old non-commissioned officer from Burgenland. several shots, as a result of which a conscript soldier was mortally wounded,” the statement said.
Austrian law enforcement officers have launched an investigation into the incident.
It is reported that the deceased soldier arrived in Wiener Neustadt on September 5, 2022 and successfully completed both fire training and training for the position of sentry and guard commander.
