In northern Australia, law enforcement officials discovered the remains of a girl who had been grabbed by < strong>crocodile while swimming in a pond – they were sent for research.

According to Senior Police Sergeant Erica Gibson, they are now trying to find the killer crocodile; it may remain in neighboring bodies of water.
Law enforcement officers and local residents were involved in the search.
Saltwater crocodiles, which live across the northern edge of Australia – from Broome in Western Australia to Gladstone in Queensland – have been almost completely exterminated. But in the 1970s this practice was banned. Since then their number has resumed.
Now more than 100 thousand crocodiles live in Australia – more than anywhere else in the world. However, they rarely attack humans.
Recall that in the Indian state of Odisha, a 17-year-old girl fell into the mouth of a crocodile. The tragedy happened in front of her sister.
