The head of the government of Buenos Aires, Felipe Miguel, spoke about the beginning of the diagnosis of COVID-19 by audio recording of a cough. He announced this on his Twitter.
According to Miguel, the authorities of the Argentine capital launched diagnostics using artificial intelligence. To test their cough, citizens must write to the government's official WhatsApp bot. 140,000 audio cough samples from coronavirus patients have been uploaded to the system.
“As soon as an audio message is received, IATos (the name of the program — approx. Lenta.ru ) will analyze the sound — if it matches the cough patterns of people with confirmed coronavirus, the person is recommended to take a test,” the government explained. It is reported that at the moment the accuracy of diagnosis is about 86 percent.
Earlier it was reported that Russian scientists from Yakutia, using artificial intelligence, learned to detect lung damage in patients with COVID-19, it takes 15 seconds to diagnose using computed tomography. The technology makes it possible to reduce the workload on a specialist, eliminating human fatigue: it usually takes a doctor at least 30-40 minutes to decipher each CT scan.
