In another country – Mexico – the number of people infected with coronavirus has exceeded one million. The deputy head of the country's Ministry of Health, Hugo Lopez-Gatel, wrote about this on Twitter.
According to him, the total number of infected citizens since the beginning of the pandemic is 1,003,253. 98,259 people have died, 745,361 patients have recovered. On average, 35 percent of general beds and 27 percent of beds with artificial lung ventilation (IVL) are occupied in the country. During the day, 5860 new cases of the disease were detected, another 77,183 were marked as suspicious and awaiting the results of the analysis.
Currently, more than one million infected are registered in the United States (10.8 million), India (8.7 million), Brazil (5.8 million), France (1.9 million), Russia (1.8 million), Spain (1.4 million), Great Britain, Argentina (1.3 million each), Colombia and Italy (1.1 million each). Thus, Mexico is in 11th place in terms of the number of detected cases of COVID-19.
On November 14, the World Health Organization (WHO) again revealed a record for cases of coronavirus infection per day. The total number of detected cases of COVID-19 infection was 657 312. Most of the infected specialists were recorded per day in Europe (over 285 thousand), North and South America (over 269 thousand) and Southeast Asia (over 55 thousand).
As of November 15, there are more than 53.8 million people infected with coronavirus in the world, of which more than 1.3 million have died, another 34.6 million have recovered.
