In Africa, the number of recorded cases of coronavirus has reached 5,776,300, according to the regional office of the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to TASS, 148,703 people died from coronavirus infection. Over 4.9 million have recovered.
The maximum number of cases of COVID-19 was registered in South Africa – 2 112 336.
