Migrants working illegally in Russia, from January 1, 2022, can be expelled from the country with a ban on return entry. This is reported by “Izvestia” with reference to the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Also, the Russian department noted that employers of illegal migrant workers will be fined up to 800 thousand rubles per person.

On December 31, Russia will end the temporary measures introduced by President Vladimir Putin that allowed foreigners to regulate their legal status to legally work without leaving the country. Migrants who do not have documents for work were advised to urgently contact the internal affairs bodies.

In connection with the changes, employers who attract migrants were advised to formalize labor relations and notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs within three days.

Earlier, the head of the Russian section of the International Police Association, Yuri Zhdanov, predicted that in 2022 the influx of migrants to Russia will increase due to changes in migration legislation and the economic situation in the CIS countries.

In November, it was reported that in accordance with the new law, almost all foreign specialists who arrived in Russia for more than 90 days will have to undergo X-ray examinations and take blood and urine tests for diseases, including leprosy, tuberculosis, syphilis and HIV / AIDS. In addition to the new requirements for the provision of fingerprints and biometric photographs within 30 days from the date of entry into Russia, examinations of narcologists, psychiatrists and infectious disease specialists will be carried out.
