The pre-trial investigation established that currently 37 Russian airlines carry out regular air travel to the annexed peninsula in violation of Ukrainian law. As explained in the SBU, the imposition of “the appropriate arrest and further investigative actions will allow limiting the flights of vessels of these air carriers, including to European countries.”
The Crimean peninsula has already arrested 249 Russian aircraft.
