It is difficult for German companies to have a business outlook amid the corona pandemic. The barometer for the uncertainty of companies in October was on a scale from 0 to 100 at 64.3 points, as the Munich Ifo Institute announced in its survey. “That is lower than in April with the corona peak of 73.8, but still significantly higher than in February, when the Ifo business uncertainty was 55,” said the head of the Ifo surveys, Klaus Wohlrabe.
Companies can tick in the survey: Predicting the development of our business situation is currently easy, rather easy, rather difficult or difficult for us. The result is then weighted with the number of answers. “The new question is easy to understand and can be used as an additional tool for business cycle analysis,” said Wohlrabe.
