However, Lukashenko stated that the Russian Federation will not use nuclear weapons, which are in Belarus, without his consent.
Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that Russia needs guarantees that, having established a ceasefire, the West will not begin to supply ammunition to Ukraine and rearm Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The head of the Republic of Belarus announced this on October 23, as reported by Russian propaganda agencies.
“If NATO troops are brought into Ukraine, Russia can take the most dangerous weapons out of storage,” Lukashenko said.
In addition, he noted that Russia will never use the nuclear weapons available in Belarus without the consent of the republic's leadership.
Lukashenko also answered the question of whether, in his opinion, the head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin regrets the start of the “military operation in Ukraine.”
“Of course, he regrets it, he is a living person. But I am absolutely convinced, and rest assured (I am not just convinced, I know it): Putin firmly believes that he is right, and motivates this,” the head of Belarus said.
Recall that earlier, self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko asked to negotiate with Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
