“I will send troops to the border”: Putin threatened Finland because of its entry into NATO

Putin said that Russia will create the Leningrad Military District near the border with Finland.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin accused NATO of that they allegedly “dragged” Finland into the Alliance. Moreover, he promised to send Russian troops to the border with Finland.

The head of the Kremlin told a journalist of the Rossiya propaganda channel about this.

Putin said that because Finland joined NATO, Russia the Leningrad Military District will be created near its borders.

“They took Finland into NATO. We had some disputes? All disputes, including those of a territorial nature, were resolved long ago in the middle of the 20th century. The best and most serious relations. No problems it was, now they will be. Because we will now create the Leningrad Military District and will concentrate certain military units there,” he threatened.

As always, Putin accused NATO of “creating a conflict” due to the expansion of the bloc.

“With whom did we have any problems? Yes, with no one. It is they (NATO countries – ed.) who create problems with us because they do not want such a competitor in the form of Russia,” – he added.

Recall that Putin complained that the West “wants” to divide Russia into five parts.
