Kinneret Hamburger said she was ready to die for her country.
Israeli girl Kinneret Hamburger, who studied law in Britain, was drafted into the IDF to fight Hamas terrorists after the attack on the country. She is one of the 300,000 people, 20% of whom are women, fighting Palestinian terrorists.
The Daily Mail writes about this.
Kinneret said she was ready to die for her country and “all humanity.” The girl, who is the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, says she is fighting “not only for her life, but for everyone who values life.”
Kinneret Hamburger received a call asking her to come to a military base in Israel on October 7 while on vacation with her family. Just before she was due to start her second year at university.
Her older brother and his wife are also reservists who were called up to fight.
The second-year law student was staying at a hotel in Israel over the October holidays with her family when she was awakened by an air raid siren. Then she received a notification calling “to base.” She immediately got into the car and drove off without even packing her bag.
Kinneret's mother, Marion, 54, met her husband, Karl, 56, while studying at university in Manchester.
They subsequently divorced, and each of them moved separately to Israel.
The girl is proud to serve in the IDF and is driven by the desire to protect her country. She said she would undoubtedly pull the trigger of a gun if necessary, saying she “would have no choice” and that Hamas had started the war.
Considering it a privilege to defend her country, Kinneret said part of her will always be a soldier even after qualifying as a lawyer.
Recall that US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that America does not support the current calls for a ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants Hamas.
