An 18-year-old girl was miraculously saved.

A friend saved an English student who was attacked by a crocodile while traveling in Zambia.

This is reported by the dailymail.co.uk.

18-year-old Amelie Osborne-Smith went on a trip to Zambia before entering a higher education institution. She left for rafting on the Zambezi River with guides from a local travel company.

The organizers of the trip claimed that the rafting would be safe, since crocodiles rarely attack people.

When the tourist was sitting on the edge of the boat , a three-meter crocodile attacked her. The reptile bit the girl's leg. Comrade Osborne dived under the water and hit the reptile, then the crocodile unclenched his teeth and released the victim.

Osborne-Smith was seriously injured. She was taken by helicopter to the hospital, where doctors performed a surgical operation.

The father of the Englishwoman, 60-year-old Brent Osborne-Smith, said that his daughter is currently in serious condition.

“She in Zambia, and we are trying to get her home so that she can receive the necessary medical care. But, obviously, after being bitten by a crocodile there is a high risk of infection, and she has a badly injured leg, “he said.

The girl with recalls the incident in horror: “You really don't think in such a situation. People say that you see your life flying before your eyes, but you are not. When the attack happened, I was completely prepared that I would lose my leg.”

Recall that earlier, an 8-year-old resident of the American state of California came to Mexico on vacation and fell into the jaws of a crocodile.
