In Belarus, the official dog of the border guards, after three unsuccessful attempts, was able to escape to Poland.

About this Polsat News reports.

An eight-year-old Belgian shepherd named Steve, together with Belarusian border guards, patrolled the Polish-Belarusian border. They tried to return the dog to the Belarusian security forces three times, but to no avail: each time it came back. Volunteers note that this is unusual, since trained dogs working in the special services usually do not leave their owners. However, Steve achieved his goal – for the fourth time he was left in Poland.

The dog showed serious skin diseases and signs of malnutrition. Volunteers suggest that the former owners kept Steve on bread and water and do not rule out that the dog was beaten.

Now Steve is in a nursing home: the dog is too old to return to the service.

< p>“He decided to try a better life, and, as you can see, he succeeded. He is satisfied,” the volunteers say.
