Former world champion in three divisions Vasily S (15-2, 11 KOs) shared his plans, recalling Australian boxer George Kambossos (20-0, 10 KO) and American athlete Teofimo Lopez (16-1, 12 KOs).
Lomachenko noted that he needs belt fights.
– This is my goal. I am motivated by the opportunity to become the undisputed champion. Of course, I want a duel with Kambosos. But now I have a fight with Commee on December 11th, I'll focus on that. After him I can talk about my future, – he said.
He added that he gave Kamposos a chance to win, but believed that Lopez was winning.
– I don’t want to talk about myself. Let the fans do it, the people who know about boxing. But when it comes to my skill – I always try to show my best style, – said Lomachenko.
He is still aimed at the title of absolute world champion, so the fight with George Cambosos Jr. interested.
In October 2020, Lomachenko lost the lead to American Teofimo Lopez – the absolute champion of the division was determined in a face-to-face battle. And Lopez unexpectedly stumbled to Kamposos – now the Australian has all the division titles.
Until the Ukrainian challenged Kamposos to battle. Next week, Lomachenko will fight with ex-champion from Ghana Richard Commey.
Vasily spent his last fight at the end of June 2021, defeating Nakatani by TKO. The fight took place in Las Vegas. As for Richard Commey, he fought his last fight in February 2021, when he knocked out Jackson Martinez.
At the end of November 2021, Lopez was unable to defend the belts taken from Lomachenko. The American lost to George Kamposos by split decision.
