“I don’t think we have an alternative”: Netanyahu said he will have to deal with Iran

The most important thing is to prevent nuclear weapons.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that during the fighting in the Strip Gaza will have to deal with Iran.

This was discussed during a meeting between Netanyahu and the head of the Shin Bet security agency (Israel's intelligence system engaged in counterintelligence activities and internal security – ed.) Roner Bahr, reports Al Jazeera.

“I don’t think we have an alternative… The war will be difficult. We must insist on this (on carrying out the war with Hamas – ed.) to the end,” Netanyahu said.

Moreover, during the fighting against terrorists in the Gaza Strip, according to him, he will not only have to deal with Iran, but also, most importantly, prevent its nuclear weapons.

According to Netanyahu, since the beginning of the war in the Middle East, Israel has had three goals: destroy Hamas, return all hostages and ensure that Gaza never threatens Israel again. These three goals remain in force, the politician assured.

Meanwhile, Iran called Ukraine a “black market” of weapons for Hamas militants. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called such a statement “hypocritical.”

US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby previously stated that Russia and Iran are tightening cooperation in the military sphere. In particular, Tehran is interested in Russian helicopters, airplanes and various types of missiles.
