Quarantine restrictions had a big impact on the mental health of a man.

42-year-old athlete John Ayers from Britain, died of COVID-19 , refused to be vaccinated because he did not want to be a “test animal”.

Reported by The Guardian.

“John started saying really crazy things that didn't make sense. About how people got the vaccine for free at McDonald's and had formaldehyde in it,” says his twin sister, Jenny McKenn.

< p> The rest of the families objected to him, showing on the Internet a refutation of these stupidities.

“But John was unfazed. He constantly said:” I will not be a guinea pig, “notes the sister of the deceased.

In the gym and restaurants, John Ayers refused to wear a mask, which caused him to constantly quarrel with his sister.

The man was completely healthy and went in for sports. As a teenager, he became a pole vault champion and ice hockey player. He did triathlon for some time, then bodybuilding competitions, then mountaineering.

< p>John has been struggling with his mental health since January. The quarantine restrictions had a huge impact on the man. He hated that he could not go to the gym, he was angry that he did not see his friends. The man lived alone, having parted with his girlfriend on Christmas, and was lonely.

Ayers believed that he did not need a vaccine, because he was healthy and would carry the virus in a mild form. However, four weeks after infection, the man died. At the hospital, before being connected to a ventilator, he stated that he regretted not being vaccinated.

John was a fan of the controversial writer Tony Robbins. Robbins avoided overt statements against vaccinations, but made comments throughout the pandemic that belittled the severity of COVID-19 or hinted that the quarantine restrictions were excessive.

In September 2021, the writer appeared at a conference in Florida, where he ridiculed the quarantine restrictions , questioned the effectiveness of vaccines and told the audience not to let “fear rule you”.

“John remembered to me once that one of his beliefs was that we should not live in fear around COVID,” Jenny recalls.

Dr. Tom Stafford, professor of psychology at the University of Sheffield, explained that social networks are dangerous because they have a big impact on a person.

According to him, the theses that John repeated to family and friends about the pandemic and vaccinations are common fakes of anti-vaccine specialists on the Web.

” The best people can do is realize that social media platforms are fundamentally dangerous mediums for getting facts about a pandemic that could kill you. Social media contains a huge amount of misinformation that easily mixes with good information. Misinformation can kill you. ” – says Imran Ahmed, General Director of the Center for Countering Digital Hatred.

Earlier, the infectious disease specialist explained to the Ukrainians, is there a difference between the effectiveness of vaccines against coronavirus.
