Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, said that this will not be a violation of sanctions against the Russian Federation, Izvestia writes.
“As for payment in rubles, we have a solution that will allow us not to violate any sanctions, but at the same time ensure gas supplies to Hungary,” said he.
The day before, Putin asked the government to instruct Gazprom to transfer contracts with European countries into rubles.
