From May 1, Hungary will reduce the validity period of the vaccination certificate to nine months
The Hungarian government has revised its plan to reduce the validity period of vaccination certificates from COVID-19 from one year to six months from February 15, 2022 — annual certificates for fully vaccinated tourists have been extended until May 1. Information about the relaxation of the rules of stay of Russians in the republic appeared on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
So, after May 1, the validity of vaccination certificates in the country will be brought into line with the general EU policy and will be nine months (270 days). Thus, domestic travelers vaccinated more than nine months ago will need a revaccination or a negative result of a PCR test done within 72 hours before entering the country.
It is clarified that Hungary recognizes all Russian vaccines against COVID-19. Accordingly, “Sputnik Lite” can be used as a booster vaccination.
Previously, vaccinated Russian tourists were explained the new rules for entry into European countries in connection with the limitation of the validity of vaccination certificates to nine months from February 1. We are talking about Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Cyprus. The validity period of the vaccination certificate should not exceed 270 days after receiving the second dose of the drug.
