Hungary blocks all questions on Ukraine at the EU summit – details from a journalist

No progress occurred during the meeting of EU ambassadors in Brussels on Sunday, December 10. Hungary is still blocking everything related to Ukraine.

This was reported on X (Twitter) by RFE/RL's Brussels bureau journalist Rikard Jozwiak after the meeting of EU ambassadors.

EU ambassadors met today (Sunday) in Brussels all day. No progress since Hungary is still blocking everything related to Ukraine. If this is decided, it will be decided at the EU summit on December 14-15,” wrote Jozwiak.

Recall, the head of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky spoke with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban in Argentina during the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President Javier Miley at the National Congress in Buenos Aires.

Zelensky himself commented on the meeting as follows: On the sidelines of the inauguration, he spoke with Prime Minister of Hungary Orban. It’s as frank and clear as possible about our European affairs.”
