Hungarian Foreign Ministry said the country will no longer accept Afghan refugees

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Siyarto said that the country will no longer accept refugees from Afghanistan, reports TASS.

“We evacuated those Afghans who collaborated with our troops, who helped them, but that's all. No more migrants from Afghanistan, ”he said.

According to the minister, “the European Union, unfortunately, repeats the mistakes made in 2015” with the only difference that “then only Syrians were on the southern borders, and now they are Afghans”.

Earlier, the head of the UN mission to assist Afghanistan, Deborah Lyons, said that there is a threat of hunger in the country.

She noted that without the resumption of funding, Afghanistan will find itself in an economic crisis, which will result in poverty and hunger for millions, as well as flows of refugees.

Earlier, the deputy head of the political office of the radical Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation) Sher Muhammad Abbas Stanekzai said that the United Nations should provide food aid to Afghanistan.
