Patrolmen of Khmelnitsky saved the life of a man who wanted to commit suicide. He jumped out of a seventh-floor window, but got caught on the clotheslines.
The incident occurred on the evening of February 3 in one of the high-rise buildings on Grechany. A random witness called the police who saw a man hanging on the ropes.
– We went around the house and saw a man on the sixth floor, more precisely, on the ropes that dry laundry. It was necessary to act immediately. We immediately opened the door to the entrance, – said one of the patrolmen.
Having found the right apartment, the police woke up a woman who did not even suspect that the 32-year-old neighbor from above was hanging on her balcony. She let the men into the apartment to save the suicide.
– The police came in and said that a man was hanging (or sitting, I still didn’t understand) on ropes behind my balcony. I showed you where the balcony is,” the neighbor said.
The patrolmen got on the balcony, quickly opened the window and dragged the man inside by common forces. The suicide was agitated, so he could not explain the motives of his act.
When an ambulance team arrived at the scene, the 32-year-old Khmelnichanin was handed over to the doctors.
