SydPath Labs Tells 486 South Wales Fake COVID Test Results

In the Australian state of South Wales, hundreds of citizens have received false COVID-19 test results due to a SydPath lab error. It is reported by “BBC”.
On Tuesday, December 28, the laboratory said that it mistakenly recognized 486 residents of the region as healthy while they were infected with the coronavirus. In addition, SydPath reported that people were getting the test results even before the studies were completed.
Due to the high workload, according to a company representative, the laboratory did not have time to process the growing amount of biomaterial. Despite the excuses, many victims complained that they could infect someone from their loved ones, not knowing that they were sick with coronavirus.
The fact is that the inhabitants of South Wales have begun to do more analyzes against the background of reports of the omicron strain of the coronavirus. Over the past week, the state conducted 145 thousand tests for COVID-19, and a week earlier, 117 thousand. Also, the state government, concerned about the fight against new strains of coronavirus, began to restore restrictive measures.
Earlier, the Turkish authorities announced an increase in the incidence of coronavirus. On December 28, according to the Turkish Ministry of Health, the number of diseases in the country broke the record on November 24. Over the past day, 362,535 tests were done, 26,099 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded, 157 people died.
