Recently, public testing of the proprietary operating system Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 began. The OS was tested on the Huawei Mate X2, and it turned out to be faster and more energy efficient than Android.
The new system was compared to Android-based EMUI 11. HarmonyOS 2.0 was tested by Chinese insider Digital Chat Station. He claims that the performance of the Huawei Mate X2 has been improved after upgrading to a proprietary OS. The insider noted that the overall smoothness of the operation has improved. In addition, the power consumption of the device has decreased.
When it comes to opening and switching between apps, the speed is the same on both HarmonyOS 2.0 and Android. The insider added that in the future, there will be more applications adapted to the Huawei system.
Huawei has previously stated that HarmonyOS is not a replacement for Android. This is the operating system of the era of the Internet of Everything.
