Huawei's flagship smartphones will be unveiled at the end of March. A popular network insider under the nickname Teme told about this in his Twitter account.
According to Teme, in 2021 Huawei has planned to release about a dozen different gadgets. In particular, the company will present the flagship smartphones of the P50 and Mate 50 series, the MatePad 2 and MatePad Pro 2 tablets, the Watch 3 and Watch GT 3 smartwatches, the Freebuds 4, 4i and Pro 2 headphones.
An insider dwelled on the P50 line of smartphones in more detail, noting that it will consist of three gadgets – the base P50 and the premium P50 Pro and P50 Pro +. The author assures that the Huawei P50 flagship disclosed by him will receive a Kirin 9000E processor, while the P50 Pro and P50 Pro + will be based on Kirin 9000 chips. According to the blogger, the announcement of the flagship smartphones is scheduled for March 26-28.
The specialist also specified that another flagship line of Huawei will consist of smartphones Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, Mate 50 Pro + and the premium version of the Mate 50 Pro RS. In a conversation with subscribers, Teme noticed that the Mate series devices will be released only in China. He also suggested that the new US President Joe Biden has no plans and “never intended” to lift sanctions against Huawei.
According to early rumors, the Huawei P50 will come with a 6.1-inch screen, while the P50 Pro and P50 Pro + will receive 6.6-inch and 6.8-inch displays, respectively. Older versions of the devices will support displaying images with a frequency of up to 120 hertz.
In November 2020, Huawei announced the sale of its subsidiary Honor brand. The reason for the sale is indicated as “constant unavailability of technical components” required for the production of mobile devices. Following Honor's transition to another Chinese corporation, the company was lifted from the US sanctions imposed on Huawei in May 2019.
