Huawei postal service will cooperate with Russian special services

by alex

Earlier, Huawei introduced the postal service Petal Mail. This is Google's replacement for Gmail, as the Chinese company cannot use the company's services. As it turned out, the Huawei service has already been included in the Russian register of information organizers.

This was noticed by the publication “Roskomsvoboda” the other day. The fact that Petal Mail is on the Registry of Information Dissemination Organizers (ORI) can be verified by following this link.

You need to understand that entering the service into the ORI register obliges it to save data about the actions and interactions of the user, as well as transfer them to the FSB upon request. In addition, the service from the registry must provide the security officials with the contents of the correspondence.

Petal Mail's Privacy Notice states that “the company does not access or process your communication data, it will process such data solely to ensure the security of communication.”
